Dr. Frank Laczko

Former Director, IOM Global Migration Data Analysis Centre

Frank Laczko (PhD) is the former Associate Director at Eurasylum and a senior adviser to WHO’s Health and Migration Data Initiative.

He previously was the director of the IOM’s Global Migration Data Analysis Centre (GMDAC) based in Berlin as well the former Co-chair of the UN Expert Group on Migration Statistics. He is the Series Editor, Global Migration Issues, Routledge and has over 20 years’ experience working in the field of international migration. His previous posts with IOM were in Budapest, Vienna and Geneva. He has also acted as a consultant for UNHCR, ILO and OECD. He has published reports on a wide range of migration issues including migration and development, labour migration, irregular migration, migration and the environment and migration governance.
