Evelyne Gbeti

Evelyne is a young and dynamic legal practitioner. Born and raised in the Central African Republic (CAR), her work centers around Human Rights, International Humanitarian Law, post conflict institutional reconstruction and forced migration studies, with a special interest in asylum seekers and refugees’ protection in urban areas.

She holds a LLM in International Humanitarian law and Humanitarian Action, an Advanced Degree in Human Rights from Aix-Marseille University (France) as well as a Postgraduate Diploma in International Law & International Relations from the University of Kent, (UK).
She has previously served in C.A.R, France, Switzerland, UK, & South Africa with various UN Agencies and INGOs such as UNHCR, UNICEF, Permanent Mission of Central African Republic to UNOG, in Geneva as well as the Dover Detainee Visitor Group.

She is currently working at the Office of the Mayor of the city of Dijon in France while providing pro bono legal services to asylum seekers and refugees. She is an active advocate for legal representation of unaccompanied children seeking asylum in France.

Evelyne has a passion for recycling and creates artwork from recyclable materials.
