
Benjamin Ng’aru
Co-founder
Benjamin is a co- founder of the East African Centre for Forced Migration and Displacement.
A legal practitioner by training, Benjamin has over 12 years experience in the field of forced migration.
He previously worked with displaced persons in various operations such as Somalia, DR Congo, Niger, South Africa, Kenya, South Sudan, Eswatini, and Zambia while serving with UNHCR, the Norwegian Refugee Council, Danish Refugee Council and the Protection Cluster.
He received post graduate training in forced migration & refugee studies at the University of Oxford – Refugee Studies Centre, York University’s Centre for Refugee Studies in Toronto and the University of Cape Town. He has also previously studied at the University of Lucerne in Switzerland.
