Ajak Jok Ajak

Ajak Jok Ajak is a refugee scholar & lawyer from South Sudan. He completed his legal studies at Moi University in Kenya and his traineeship at the prestigious Oraro & Company Advocates, in Nairobi.

Influenced by his displacement background, Ajak has dedicated his legal skills to alleviate the plight of displaced communities in Kakuma refugee camp where has previously worked with refugees and asylum seekers at the Refugee Consortium of Kenya (RCK), Kakuma. He has also drafted and reviewed constitutions of various students’ and refugee community associations since 2015.

His research interest is on the social economic rights of refugees and asylum seekers in protracted contexts. He also researches and writes on access to higher education, documentation, and the right to work. He also serves as the Clerk to the Council of South Sudanese Students’ Association in Kenya (SSSAK).
